Celebrating 50 years of Life Sciences Trainers and Educators Network (LTEN)
Posted By Mark Menichini
A refreshing return to the world’s largest gathering of life sciences trainers and educators!
The anticipation was palpable as we embarked on our first in-person conference since the start of the pandemic. We couldn’t pass on the opportunity to celebrate the community and inspiration the LTEN meeting delivers year after year.
That alone is worth the price of admission, but this year there was much more to celebrate. A refreshing return to in-person meeting, exceptional event speakers, insightful workshops, and attendees eager to connect and learn.
Being surrounded by likeminded professionals, each working to better the learners that we are tasked with educating, created a sharing environment for all participants to exchange fresh perspectives and ideas. Technology was featured by many vendors as what used to be considered aspirational is now becoming much more accessible. From every corner of the exhibit hall you could hear discussions of the challenges of asynchronous training and the value of omnichannel strategies.
The lineup of key note speakers did not disappoint. Imparting inspirational messages that bridged both industry and personal challenges, it was clear that resilience and looking to the future were themes that resonated with the audience. These motivational presentations coupled with the workshops delivered by vendor and client partners were virtually giving away the tools to success.
I found it uplifting to see so many who are sincerely dedicated to the task of improving the knowledge of their individual teams. With that sentiment, we extend our thanks to the LTEN organization and Board of Directors for executing another energizing event and bringing us together in-person again.
We look forward to returning next year!
